Clavipectoral Fascia Plane Block Combined With Superficial Cervical Plexus Block for the Removal of Osteosynthesis Material From Clavicle Fracture

نویسندگان

چکیده

Clavipectoral fascial plane block combined with superficial cervical plexus has been used as an anesthetic and analgesic technique in mid-clavicle fracture surgeries. The authors describe two cases which patients underwent extraction of osteosynthesis material from the clavicle, using clavipectoral postoperative period. mentioned presented itself easy-to-perform technique, apparently safe effective, allowing to obtain satisfactory results.

Bilateral Superficial Cervical Plexus Block Alone or Combined with Bilateral Deep Cervical Plexus Block for Pain Management After Thyroid Surgery

Background and Objectives: Patients undergoing thyroid surgery need postoperative pain management. Bilateral superficial cervical plexus block (BSCBs) has been shown to improve postoperative analgesia. The objective of this study was to assess its analgesic efficacy in the first 24 hours after thyroid surgery alone and when combined with bilateral deep cervical plexus block (BDCBs). Methods: We...

Horner’s Syndrome after Superficial Cervical Plexus Block

Ultrasound-guided nerve blocks are becoming more essential for the management of acute pain in the emergency department (ED). With increased block frequency comes unexpected complications that require prompt recognition and treatment. The superficial cervical plexus block (SCPB) has been recently described as a method for ED management of clavicle fracture pain. Horner's syndrome (HS) is a rare...

Superficial and deep cervical plexus block: technical considerations.

Regional anesthetic block of the cervical plexus is a safe and useful alternative to general endotracheal anesthesia for surgery of the neck, upper shoulder, and occipital scalp area. The sensory component of the cervical plexus can be blocked separately and easily by a superficial cervical plexus block. Both motor and sensory block can be obtained by deep cervical plexus block. Minor transient...

comparison of combined femoral nerve block and spinal anesthesia with lumbar plexus block for postoperative analgesia in intertrochanteric fracture surgery

background hip fracture–related pain both before and after surgery is generally reported as severe by most patients. various regional pain control modalities have been described in order to reduce pain in these patients. objectives because of the challenges of lumbar plexus block (lpb) and the fact that the effect of combined femoral nerve block/spinal anesthesia in controlling pain after ortho...

A comparison of superficial versus combined (superficial and deep) cervical plexus block for carotid endarterectomy: a prospective, randomized study.

Carotid endarterectomy may be performed by using cervical plexus blockade with local anesthetic supplementation by the surgeon during surgery. Most practitioners use either a superficial cervical plexus block or a combined (superficial and deep) block, but it is unclear which offers the best operative conditions or greatest patient satisfaction. We compared the two techniques in patients underg...
